ALWAYS-ON METHAMPHETAMINE DETECTION

Methalarm detectors provide assurance that if methamphetamine is smoked, manufactured or brought into a property - now or in the future - it will be detected and property owners will be notified.

PARTICLES

Methamphetamine produces microscopic, nonbiodegradable and transparent particles when cooked or smoked.  These particles attach to people, clothes and belongings and will move with passive airflow.

Methalarm detectors identify the presence of methamphetamine particles in the air on a continual basis.

DETECTION

  • Suitable for an average single-level 3 bedroom property (approximately 7,000 cubic feet).  

  • Methalarm detectors identify methamphetamine smoking, manufacturing, small capacity production labs (SCPLs) and one-pot cooking methods such as shake-and-bake, and cross contamination as it occurs. 

  • The Methalarm will detect prior smoking and/or manufacture of methamphetamine.

  • SMS and email alerts are sent to nominated people if the Methalarm detector detects methamphetamine above a user-defined threshold.  All alerts are silent.

  • Methalarm detectors are installed in a tamper-proof case.  There are also two tamper activations that trigger silent alerts and send SMS and email notifications to designated people.

  • Dimensions: 6 inches (L) / 2.5 inches (W) / 1.5 inches (H).

  • Installation takes 15 minutes.

POWER AND CONNECTIVITY

  • Methalarm detectors are powered by alkaline batteries.  A plug-in power option is also available.

  • Methalarm devices are delivered preloaded with network connectivity.  Methalarm SIM cards are network and state/country independent and will connect to the network with the strongest signal available at your location.  (Network connectivity requires an annual subscription).

  • The Methalarm application (AVRT) provides users with the ability to configure device settings and current and view historic device readings.  (The AVRT application requires an annual subscription).

INDEPENDENT TESTING/CERTIFICATION

  • Independent testing completed by ESR Forensics Clandestine Drug Laboratories, Auckland New Zealand (New Zealand Government Agency).

  • Certification:  IS09001 Telarc approved, New Zealand Made, FCC Certification (USA), Industry Canada Certification (Canada).

REAL-TIME INFORMATION

As soon as the Methalarm detector has completed a test for methamphetamine the results are sent to a secure web application hosted in  the USA by AWS.  

​

Users can see test results as the arrive, together with an unlimited history.

SECURITY

We recognize that the data provided by Methalarm detectors is confidential and sensitive.  We have invested heavily in ensuring data security.  Data is hosted in the USA with Amazon Web Services, and only verified users with the appropriate user rights can see methamphetamine test results.
